this is my hob, i used a foam to dampen the surface disturbance...

here is my diy hood with lights , this wires are still kinda messy :) heheh oopsie :)

The light set-up makes me a bit nervous. (I'm an electrician, by the way :D ) I would have a piece of glass, or plexi glass covering the entire light area. There are alot of exposed areas where water vapors could visit. :)
 
I learned about lights and water the hard way. :/ I was moving one of the 24" strip lights I used to have and it fell in. I went to grab it and, well.........

I now turn everything off before I work in the tank. :p

Got the sh*& shocked out of me. Half my arm was numb for about an hour. The fish didn't seem to care. :/
 
yes its on the top left corner :)

c02 bells are used to add c02 into a planted tank.

and i think your right, i will cover my tank with glass so the wires dont give me a big problem in the future. and btw the shocking story is really really funny. But i did it once but not with my tank, i fogot to dry my hands and plugged something in hahaha
