Just thought I'd post a before and after picture of my tank to show how time consuming a planted tank can get. The first picture is of the tank 6 days before the second picture.

Here is the first.

Wow thats certainly growing at a blinding rate! Personally I believe in too much plantation...

How do you clean that tank? With so many plants, do you syphon the gravel? I would love to have a completely planted tank but just dont know how i would maintain it.

Great Kuhli Loach picture, most people say the clown loach is their facorite but i saw the kuhli loach is my favorite. :p

I'm sure Konrad would agree that he doesn't syphon his substrate. The plants use the detritus (mulm) as food and break it down.

As you can see, his main maintenance task is pruning.

Awesome Pics, Awesome Plants and Awesome Growth. Nice one Konrad. TOTM nomination..... again !!!

That is truly amazing. I don't think I'd have the patience to trim them neatly and make sure I got all the leaves out etc. etc. If there hasn't been any other noms, then there should have been and heres mine:
TOTM!!!!

what kind of substrate do you use?
and yes-now you need to draw us an overhead map labeling all of the plants! :D
