love it!!!! my anoles do that too when i put them into their little critter keepers. and my one gecko will do that to, he'll stare at me through the little clear lid...........

now i want tree frogs again...... *MAM sizes up space for a third non-fish tank.....*

I want one! And I have done for ages!

Whats the smallest I could keep one in, comfortably... :shifty:

Or whats the smallest frog, in the smallest space, I really want one!

What do you feed the tree frogs? I'd love to get some but crickets are banned from the house

Are there any frogs that can do without live insects?

K

Thanks everybody!

Puffer, the smallest I think is a 10 gallon, you need to put it on its side to make it tall though, they need to climb up. Green tree frogs are the best frogs to start with (don't start with a red eyed, tempting though as it may be!) In a 10 gallon, 1 defiantely, pushing it with 2. Mine is a 35 gallon terraium (doesn't hold water). They require misting about 2 times a day (min) and moisture. I have a waterfall in mine to help.

Sorry Cian, all frogs eat are insects! Mine love the crickets, mealworms, and I am going to try wax worms and silkworms when I buy them for the gecko

MAM; do it, get the froggies, you know you want too! C'mon, I live in a partial zoo with dog, cat, froggies, leopard gecko, kid and big kid (husband), you know you want to :hey:

mealworms would be very possible, I found that the gecko didnt eat them fast enough though and they all went underground. Not very nice to sift through coral sand for shrivleled worms every weekend! Do the frogs 'attack' quickly?

My little girl loves her mealworms, I am trying to get her used to me so I feed her one by one. There is a new dish out that hold the meal worms in the bowl and lets the lizard climb over and reach in. Mine is too little but I will be buying that in the future.

Watching my frogs eat crickets is like watching a snake dart at their prey. They look, look, watch, move their head slowly and then dart and catch the cricket. One of mine, the little one in the pic is coming back from not eating in about 2 weeks so he is a little slower, I just isolate him when feeding time, and they are a little less active now because winter is coming, but still fun

This is biggest one, sorry it is soo fuzzy
