They arrived around two oclock this afternoon and are settling in quite nicely  My stupid computer still says it has no internet, but I will try to get pictures up as soon as possible

I can't wait to see them. I finally got ahold of the guy this morning so needless to say,I don't have mine yet :p

YAY!

I hope u get pictures

I really never seen one... -_-

I was pretty worried about them when they arrived :/ They were in a gigantic cooler with a heat pack that hadn't been activated, and their bags were just flopping around with no newspaper or packing peanuts :( So they were pretty cold and shook up, but they are doing ok now :)

ANy suggestions on what to put in the tank as far as hiding spots/decorations? I have them in a 10 with just gravel right now, they got here right when I finshed putting it together, so I didn't get to do any interior design work yet :look:

A few Silk or Real plants ur choice

Maybe some rock formations

Like I said Above I really dont know how they look like or what they need.....

:D

*GASP* BKK DOESNT KNOW ABOUT A BETTA! BREAKING NEWS! BREAKING NEWS! CALL THE POLICE! :( lol

oh sorrell, they're gorgous......... in a grey way...... LOL! you plan on breeding? btw, can you bring some fry up to vancouver when you come for the betta show? I want some :shifty:

It looks like the female is trying to get busy already  Are you seperating them?

Very cool Sorrell!

Do you have any small clay flower pots or move some plant clippings from other tanks.

They are in a ten gallon unseperated, but under my watchful eye. They have both eaten, but the male is still looking a little stressed (no color) I should've tested the pH of the water that they came in but it was all dirty and not a heck of a lot I can do anyway. I do have them in blackwater, so maybe that will help

Bkk, good luck on the research  I can't find jack on them, so let me know if you come across anything good

hmmm, they are an "undescribed species" according to the IBC species maintenance program...

Kapuas river basin is situated near the Malaysian border approximately 700 km upstream from the delta of the Kapuas River and the provincial capital Pontianak, in the province of Kalimantan Barat, on the island of Borneo, western Indonesia.

Importance: The wetland plays an important, dual, hydrological role, absorbing floodwaters from the Kapuas River during the wet season and contributing up to half of the river’s downstream flow in the dry season. Danau Sentarum is the last vast area of primary freshwater swamp forest remaining in Kalimantan, and is possibly the last major representative example of this habitat for all of the Greater Sunda islands. Threatened fauna recorded in the site include the bird species Anhinga melanogaster, Ciconia stormi and Aviceda jerdoni, reptile Manouria emys, and mammals Aonyx cinerea, Helarctos malayanus, Hylobates muelleri, Manis javanica, Neofelis nebulosa, Nasalis larvatus, and Pongo pygmaeus. Danau Sentarum is also home to the commercially sought threatened fish species Scleropages formosus, and the largest known inland population of the monkey Nasalis larvatus.

betta kapuas pics

as well...

hmmm,I'm debating on whether or not to put them in one of those shallow four footers. I could replicate a stream the way I did in my L200 tank...only not as fancy and pvc pipey
