Discus laying eggs

I decided to snap a few pictures of my discus laying eggs.
I have 3 pictures I will be posting.

Here's the female making her run laying the eggs.

Oh Elgecko....those are BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Had any luck with the wrigglers yet! :lol: Tricky business getting them parents to NOT EAT THEIR BABIES huh? :lol:

Once they go free swimming they get eaten. I'm not sure if it was the parents or the other 3 discus that was in the tank. Now that the breeding pair is on there own, I'll have to see if they raise there fry now. Not sure I want them to. It's a lot of work raising the fry.
I just about have the 29 gallon tank this breeding pair will go into set up.

Ahhh, very possible that it was the others. Or the parents feeling threatened.....but as far as my Angels went.....they STILL ate the babies when they were on their own :rolleyes: dumbos!

You could make a pretty penny selling discus though :hey: It would take a lot of dedication that's for sure, not a business for many of us but some do it! :dunno:

My 56g will be set-up after xmas with Discus and I hope to get a breeding pair and have fry of my own someday :D
 
wow! the quality of them pics is amazing!!!
they are awsome! cant wait to see pics of them swimming round with the parents.
