How awesome would that be if you got some DT CTs ;) Do you expect CT fry from this pair? I bet the orange will really brighten up the MG. :nod: That is really exciting that the orangies carry DT, interesting...what can I do with this :shifty:

U could possibly breed the Orangies with ur Orange DT and get some nice wittle Orange DTs

Is that true sorrell?

Will putting orange on the spawn make them more bright? -_-
 
Sorrell, all hm's carry dt geno. So two hm's equal a pretty good chance for dt fry. My plakats carry hm and ct geno,which makes them somewhat universal. I highly doubt I'll end up with dt ct's though ;)

GD~ I doubt I'll see any red in this spawn. Orange is a non-red,it really has no red in it at all (this particular orange strain anyway)

Linda,I can't wait either :fun: If they turn out at all, I don't count my eggs until they're free swimming and all mine. Until then,it's up to Dad.

Joker~ that's one of my goals,to brighten up the finnage. I think an orange female was the perfect choice for this color male :thumbs:
 
I forgot the orangies are HM geno! That is the greatest spawn ever :eek: Those orangies got it all and are gorgeous to boot :wub: Sure don't count your chickens until they hatch, but omg I am so excited to see what these babies look like :kana: :look:
 
Oh man wuv, here you are at it again, always getting me excited to see what comes out of those eggs. :shifty: I hope they get more golden finnage, like papa. :p

I forgot to add that I took the female out at around 10 this evening. She looks great,not a mark on her :thumbs:
 
lol you kinda took my idea(not implying anything). i was thinking maybe about breeding red CT against mustard gas CT. what do you think?

good job and hopefully all turns out good. whats the update?
 
red against mg.... -_- I dunno, I think you'll get blue fish with red wash :/ (and betta breeders all over the world will fall to their knees :p )
 
and we have fry :thumbs: They should be about 12-24 hours old now. Heres a shot of dad as of two minutes ago. The fry are bigger than any I've seen before,and they have the same black stripe that their siblings had at that age so maybe that's a good sign :thumbs:

Oddly, he spun the cup around to face in a different direction -_-

Here's a terrible pic of the father and fry,after this I'm removing him. Well,within the next few hours anyway.
(the fry is directly below his head,stuck to the glass)
