Okay, have had bettas before, and I posted before when I first got this one, but now 'Phantom Lord' has officially gone vicious. The lid on the five gallon he's in fits snugly into the rim of the tank leaving a small hole that I feed him through, which is great for humidity. The problem is, about a week ago, I stuck my finger down the hole so I could wash off a pellet that was sticking to my finger and he tried to bite my finger. I yanked my hand out of there fast because I heard bettas can bite hard. Then the other day I had my finger against the side of the glass and he tried to bite me through the glass!! Then, and I kid you not, two days ago I was sprinkling pellets into the hole (safely keeping my fingers out of the hole) and the crazy little $h!t ignored the pellets, jumped out the water and tried to bite me again! Now any time I get my finger near the hole he actually sticks his head out of the water and watches me, sometimes so far out that he looks like Flipper!
Now I'm kinda freaked out. I don't dare get my fingers anywhere close to the hole and I'm worried about sticking my hand in the tank to rearrange the fake plants. I feel like I have Jaws in my bedroom. I know bettas don't like other males, but this fish is out to get me!!!
