Re: Pics Ever Notice???

Ever notice how 'apologetic' we are when it comes to posting pics? So many apologize for the camera, lighting, focus, etc.

I say relax! This is not a photo forum - it's a FISH forum. And a darn friendly one at that! Shoot your tanks / fish / cat / dog, and put it up! Don't worry about the professional quality, etc. Just make sure your cats and dogs have something to do with the tanks!

So I don't waste my time here, here is a photo of one of my tanks.
I apologize for the focus, and the dang thing is brand new, and my fish refused to cooperate...

And heeerrrss the pic..!

But I was trying to garner attention to those that hesitate in sending their pics up - or those that DO, and always seem to apologize!

Let's face it, we've all seen "crap" pics here. (I have experience in sending "crap" up). But, I don't recall anybody insulting anybody's photo work. In other words, for those of you that are hesitant in showing us stuff...send it up! You never know what we're looking for. It could be plants, the combination of plants, lighting, caves,
and none of those have to be perfect National Geographic Style photos.

Wouldn't it be funny to have a "Worst Tank of the Month"? Though, that could get nasty.....

But if you were brave enough to post your worst pics / tanks / pics-of-tanks ?
I know we ALL could contribute (going back..) )

Actually,..I'll start.
I nominate this for "Worst Picture of the Month (WPOM), because:

- Not only is the shot bad,
- The water is cloudy
- The plants V/s Decoration is pathetic
- The decoration is pathetic.
- The plants are pathetic (And they were new !!)
- Ummm...various other things I invite you to pick apart.

Look at the poor little, troll in orange, swaggering his way thru the filth, trying to keep a good "heads up" just for the camera! (More than I've ever done for a shot!)

Come now...you all have a horrible pic that you don't want to post?
Make the others feel good about it! I'm serious. We should have a Worst Pic O Month - though, with provisions or maybe a separate "group title" so as not to be nasty - but have fun. (As in, you'd actually have to go there and post it yourself). Most people don't take pics of their tank when starting out, etc., but as I say, we ALL have that "worst photo". And if your tank is currently in dire straights - well, TAKE A PIC! Let us laugh, and hold our bellies at the sorrowful state of others!
(We do it everyday anyway..why not.)

If you don't, I'll infest this sight with horrid pics (as I get 'em), and try to be serious about nomination for FOTM, TOTM, etc. And I know you guys will be very kind and not say anything.

Actually, most people would nominate your first tank for TOTM, some even the second. At the same time, there have been worse tanks than your second picture in the contests.
