... I have a 10 gallon tank, that has my 2 mixed breeding colonies of Cherry shrimp in it... Cherries took off almost immediately, especially after I started adding Bacter A E and I also originally had one pair of the Platies in there... the tank gets straight rock hard, well water, & is kept pretty cool... it's got several plants, including a dropped root, from my monster Pothos vines in it... and is covered on the surface by Giant duck weed ( almost completely, except for a bubbled circle over the sponge filter, that I also feed through ) ... the other day I was topping off water, and noticed the Platy numbers have jumped significantly... the pair had their 1st batch of babies, with only 3-4 survivors, a couple months ago... last night I saw more than a dozen, without trying, that were at least half grown... I guess it's time to feed a net full of the Duckweed to the Tilapia, so I can better enjoy this tank visually ( it sits sideways, in my work area ), so is only visible through one end, or the top... and is lower, so for me, the top is easiest visibility...
