I've had a new tank set up for a few months now. I've never been overly concerned about Platy fry as they have never really survived. However, 3 of my female Platys have had a total of 12 fry make it past the being eaten stage. Can anyone tell me if this one is pregnant too please? Best photos I could manage. I am in the process of setting up another tank as I'm worried that if this keeps up, my current tank will be overcrowded

Yes, she's definately pregnant. And she's already squaring off which means that it won't take that long before she'll drop fry.

Thank you. Guess I better hurry up and get that 2nd tank set up 🤦‍♀️
You should have plenty of time to do it, since they're still small. So I think you may take your time and cycle your new tank with peace. :)

My tank used to be seriously overrun by neon guppies, I'm not sure what they are called anymore. I gave away or sold, can't remember which, nearly all at one time, but the population exploded even worse! So I gave up on them and sold every and each one to a far bigger tank. Also, I had gotten them as a soft water patch, but I learned they would prefer harder water, so I decided not to leave any males either.

My other fish were happy with soft water. Also, I wanted my tank to look more peaceful which it did afterwards. Guppies used to chase the females continuously. It was sure an experience and I really liked watching their colours, but this was for the better. In my case.
