What is the evolutionary advantage of having the hump on the head? Any ideas?

Nope but they sure do head butt a lot.
The head hump is probably a peacock's tail type, hey look at me thing. I used to breed red humps, and the size of the hump showed rank with the 3 males I had. It's a limited sample, but was interesting.
