I'm a little mad at myself because I found a dead albino cory on one of my fish dip nets I have and didn't realize he was in there till it's too late I guess he stuck to the net and I never realized it

What size is your tank? 7 is an ok number, but if your 16g is your actual tank size, maybe not.

I'm sorry you lost a cory, it's always sad.

It's a 20 gallon I was going to change my name to 20 gallon tanker but I couldn't change it so any way i still have 8 albino corys 4 peppered corys 3 otos and about 5 mollies but I have 3 filters a one is a aqueon quietflow 10 and 1 box filter and 1 sponge filter to keep it oxygenated well

it's like a real kick in the gut when you accidentally kill one of your fish. I've only had that happen once. I pulled my big pirate ship out of the tank to clean it and had it outside scrubbing it with bleach water and when I hosed it, out fell one of my little catfish.
had some close calls using the big vacuum gravel cleaner but luckily I stopped it when I saw a fish in the tube.

Accidents happen. You'll learn from this accident that you need to check the net carefully after every use.

I was moving loaches to a new tank, and pangio are squirmy noodles. I was using one of my extendable nets and had rested it in the water while I moved another loach to the transfer bin.... one of the uncontained loaches wedged himself into the handle of the net and unfortunately offed himself in it in the 10 minutes I was not using the net, just because I left it in the tank.

Learned 2 things that day: don't leave the net in the tank and don't use extendable nets because those extending tubes are hollow.

I'm sorry to hear this accident happened to you, try to learn from it so it doesn't happen again, but try not to beat yourself up about it.
