A couple of updates. Changed the filter to a Oase Biomaster Thermo 350. I know it's an overkill but at 40% discount i had to get it ))
Due to lack of space i had to place it on the side of the tank. It works fine, i even had to set the outflow to minimum. In order to make it start without issues i had to fill the canister with water (a bit over a half). I love how silent it is. I rearranged the baskets inside as follows (from bottom to top):
1. sponge basket
2. sponge basket
3. mix of ceramic balls and rings (from the previous filter), i got rid of the plastic balls that come with the filter
4. new bags of Seachem Zeolite and Purigen
5. the red sponge basket
An acquaintance discovered that a 10 gallon tank with a beta is too big for a bristlenose pleco. He had it for a bit over 2 years. And he gave the pleco to me. The other option was throwing him in a nearby lake. Which is a big no no, so i took the fish. And because i don't have another tank he went to the community one that i have. I added a some Rio Xingu stones from Dennerle and some river rocks and also some wood to make a small cave. He went and hid in the back in the rotala bush. 6h in and he didn't uproot a plant. Fingers crossed he'll behave. Already ordered some Dennerle Dennerle PlecoMenu, it should be here monday morning.
Now he's chillin' on the glass behind the Alternanthera. 100% he's a male but I have no idea what variation of Bristlenose he is.
