So… please tell me these are actually Cupids…

Mine have very decent colours; this is an older picture - they have gotten much more colourfu (but the increase is subtlle - this is from may - i thought i posted a better somewhere but can't find it on my computer; the blue on their pectral fins are esp strong now. I expect them to breed similar to the m. egregius where a pair breaks off breed and then rejoin the group when done; but they have not shown breeding behavior beyond perhaps digging a pit (which might or might not be breeding behavior):

Cupids seem to be getting along with the earth eater, and other tank mates… and spend the bulk of their time out in the open, center of tank… it’s supper time... all the Corys come running

Cupids are eartheaters, so they should be chill together. I would often see them grazing in mixed packs with my Geophagus.
 
Cupids are still doing well, with Cichlids both bigger and smaller than them… they are the middle siblings… this one getting a little war paint
