Not talking about pitcher plants or Venus fly traps… I have several terrestrial plants growing out of aquariums, these are healthy mature tanks, and occasionally fish disappear… sometimes pretty big fish, one tank in particular, sometime in the last several months, a 3 inch super red pleco, and a 2.5 inch angel have vanished, with no sign… you would think I would see a big pleco skull or something… no shrimps, or larger carnivorous fish in the tank, but the roots growing out of the hang on the side pots are monstrous… makes me think of the play “Little Shop Of Horrors”… plants are saying “feed me”
These particular plant roots ( Chinese Evergreen ) are much more robust, than others, in other tanks, that have been there longer… they do capture a lot of fish food, and are heavily grazed, I assume for that reason…

I think these must have come from space…

Anyone else have freaky Halloweenish plants???
