Petsmart plant ID? 🌱

Hello everyone! My names Landon! I’m new to the forums and firstly wanted to introduce myself! I’m glad to be here! My first post will be about this plant I purchased from petsmart a few weeks ago. It was sold with the roots wrapped in a brown ball and sold in an out of water sealed bag. It seems as soon as I submerged the plant in my planted nano it started deteriorating. Is the top supposed to live out of water maybe? Can anyone identify this plant for me and tell me if it would be better for an out of the water/rooted in overflow plant? I’d appreciate any help or advice! Thank you for your time!
