Well, I got back home about 50 minutes ago from our Poecilia meeting. Sold a number of bags of livebearers and came home with a number of livebearers as being fresh additions to my current populations.
I was able to restrain myself well this time...

So what did you get this time?

and you couldn't control yourself if you had too :)

So what did you get this time?
Ameca splendens, Phallichthys tico, Phallichtys pittieri, wild guppies from Jamaica, Xiphophorus signum, Xiphophorus variatus Puente Escalanar, Ataeniobius toweri, Xenotoca lyonsi, Xiphophorus alvarezi and a bag full of plants.
and you couldn't control yourself if you had too :)
I just told myself to take it slow this time... ☺️

If I had hard water, I would be planning s future trip to try to buy fish from you (and meet you while seeing a beautiful country again while I was at it). You have quite a haul there.

I wish North Americans could take their outside of the paycheque interests as seriously as people in the Netherlands and Germany do.

The importers in Australia wouldn't even know about most of those fish you just got, let alone import them. It's a sad place I live in when members of the forum get better fish than we can get in this country.

I don't think anyone in Australia has ever imported a wild guppy from anywhere.

Please post pictures when the fish have settled in.

edited to fix typo :(

A Trini work colleague brought some wild guppies from a local stream at Christmas. Then, when she retired, she decided to go home, and I got the guppies. They were great little fish.

I stopped keeping them as I prepared to move, but I hope they are still going in the tanks of the people I shared them out to.

I'll be pleased to welcome you...

From what I've noticed throughout the years is that North Americans do talk about rare wild livebearers frequently but don't have that much choice in the breeds that we have overhere.

Will do...👍

I know this feeling a little too well! XD
I spent nearly £200 each time (4 times) I visited my fish shop, there was always something that I found 🤦‍♀️😂

Last time I went there, I replaced the sick gups for 9 cherry shrimps.... Then guess what? I got 40 more cherries for £100...
