Black, strange shell shape but typical Nerite habits… not a traditional trapdoor type, they are open on the bottom almost like a half shelled clam… mine are 1/2 to 3/4 inch, and went to work in the tank right away…

There is not much info out there on these.. this article offers some information, being the internet, I can’t guarantee accuracy of everything, but most of it seems reasonable

I thought from reading, some of the shells get “bat mobile” type fin shapes on the shells… this one almost looks to have a front, and back, with the front edge more rounded, with the back end flat, with corners… I got a handful, so I have several to study… this one’s shell looks like a radio controlled car body… dare I say the Bat Mobile??? Hey… I didn’t name them…

They were new for me as well…

Still not much out there on this variant of Nerite snails… I’m really liking them…
Batman snail sandwiche… BTW… like other Nirites, no babies…

Wrapped around a stem of an Anubis, climbing up to get to the leaves…

This is where I ordered mine from

I've been really happy with my 1st group of these snails, so I ordered a 2nd larger group this time... to split between a couple of other tanks...

I ended up ordering 8 more of these guys, to spread around, in a few tanks… I was worried about this one, as it landed in the rocks, upside down, and with less foot, than a traditional snail, I was trying to figure out how to flip it over… sometime in a couple hours after adding it to my tank, it righted itself… I would have like to watch that… anyway 4 into this tank, and one each into my 4 - 10 gallon holding tanks
