Hello, Iā€™m Sanma from South Korea.
I've always wanted to decorate my aquarium with lucky bamboo, but there was hardly any information on whether it could be completely submerged, so I hesitated to try.
In the 60 days I've been growing it, there hasn't been any rotting or dying lucky bamboo, and the fully submerged ones seem to be okay so far.
From the overseas information I found, it seems that as long as there is enough CO2 in the tank, there is no problem even if it is fully submerged.
When part of it is above the water, it can easily take in CO2 from the air, but based on some experiences of it rotting when grown underwater, it seems that it relies on CO2 to some extent when fully submerged.
In this tank, CO2 is used (1 drop every 4 seconds), and if it is difficult to supply CO2 to your environment, it is better to have some part of all lucky bamboo sticking out of the water.
Enjoy watching the video. Thank you.
