Is this too many detritus worms? One guppy, 2 ottos, 4 adult shrimp, c. 12 shrimplets 6 weeks old if I'm correct. All levels normal and shrimp doing well at 21-23•©. It's one corner which is the feeding corner. Aware underfeeding should reduce but ordinarily feed every 2 days, in low quantities, either veggies, algae wafers, blood worms or various fish foods and worried about them harming the baby shrimps mainly. May not be connected but also battling an ongoing infestation of ramshorn snails. Guppy does not eat the detritus worms. Have gone few days without feeding and disturbed substrate to bring worms out and guppy not bothered with them at all. Don't vacuum due to shrimplets.

They aren't detritus worms. They look more like an aquatic worm (maybe Tubifex or something similar). They are living off the uneaten fish food and are harmless to fish. Most fish will eat the worms if they see or catch them.

Oh okay, thanks. When does it become too many?

If you see them all through the gravel, that is probably too many :)

Just reduce the amount of food going into the tank and they won't breed as much.
