I have a pair of angelfish. My son picked them out we do not intend to breed. They are different sizes but they are not necessarily the same age although we bought them the same time. The yellow fish is larger and pretty calm. The black striped fish gets aggressive from time to time. Last week we found eggs on the glass and we allowed them to guard them for several days until they were gone - mostly eaten by the two angel fish. Then 2 days later we had a whole new set of eggs in the same location. I was over them keeping everyone away so I removed the eggs and things went back to normal. So are they both female and laid eggs days apart or can one female lay eggs twice in 5 days?

Yellow one might be male. Look at the ovipositor (egg laying tube). Females have a short wider ovipositor and males have a longer thinner one.

It's very unlikely it was the same fish twice.
It's not uncommon for females to spawn together. Usually one isn't quite ready but has enough hormones flowing to want in on the act. Then she was ready a few days later... maybe.
