on an impulse I bought a couple little Amazon puffers ( yes, I'm old enough to know better ) they are just slightly bigger than a normal Pea puffer size right now, so they are in a 10 gallon holding tank... very personable fish, in just a week, they are swimming to the front of the tank begging, & I'm sure in no time could be eating from my hand ( I don't have much interest in hand feeding fish, but it's an interesting trait )... I don't think I want them in my pretty much complete south American 55 gallon, but the next tank set up will be a 45 gallon south American tank, with larger but peaceful Cichlids & I'll be moving my adult Cory's from some other tanks to that one, after these puffers get bigger I'm kind of hoping they can go into that tank... they will eat a bladder snail before it hits the bottom if dropped in, & as small as they are, will eat a shrimp pellet or two... I added a few frozen blood worms the other day ( too many ) & they ate what they wanted, right away, & cleaned up the rest off the bottom the next day ... I added a chunk of lava rock to the tank, in case they wanted to nip at anything on it, to wear on their beak, got them from a good seller they were wormed, & are fat & happy
in the 45 I'm thinking an Electric Blue Acara, or two, some Cupid Cichlids, a fire mouth or two, & some smaller geo's, maybe 1 or two angels & the displaced Cory's... Cory's will be adult, otherwise everything else will be juvenal... puffers yes??? how big, before introducing them in that tank???
