I discovered my forktail blue eyed rainbow swimming upside on Saturday. (I really like this „aquatic butterfly“). Next day I took him out und put him in water with some epsom salt. No change. Then I squashed a pea . He went towards the green (maybe wishful thinking) but I don’t know if he ate. There just hasn’t been any change. Is there hope he could recover?

Video of the fish?
Upload videos to YouTube, then copy & paste the link here.
If you use a mobile phone to film the fish, hold the phone horizontally (landscape mode) so the footage fills the entire screen and doesn't have black bars on either end.

Clear, in focus pictures showing the fish from the side might offer some info too.

How long has the tank been set up for?
How long have you had the fish for?
Did you add anything to the tank in the 2 weeks before this started?

What is the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH of the water (in numbers)?
What sort of filter is on the tank?
How often do you clean the filter and how do you clean it?

How often do you do water changes and how much do you change?
Do you gravel clean the substrate when you do a water change?
Do you dechlorinate the new water before adding it to the aquarium?
