I'm thinking of a multi-tank rack...

I'm thinking of getting a somewhat medium sized (20 gallon or more on top, 5-15 gallon on bottom) multi-tank rack for my fishkeeping hobby when I move out of my parents' home (not ready to do so yet). Are these multi-tank racks from Amazon good?




All three links lead to the Amazon website despite saying 'Server busy'.
 
I make my own. I'm no carpenter, but they work.
 
I think if you can find something you like and it saves space and helps you keep more than one tank, go for it. I don’t have anything like these in my house. I have two medium sized tanks on their own aquarium stand with storage underneath and two nano tanks each on their own table, both with storage underneath. I like being able to hide away all of the accoutrements and to keep things like my gravel vac dust free.
 
Either build one yourself of find someone who can weld and get them to build you one.

These are 2 stands I had before 2016. Disregard the mess, but the basic 2 tier stand was made of 70x35mm pine and bolts.
The 4 tier stand had 70x35mm pine legs, widths and along the back. And 20mm galvanised steel on the front.

Interesting. Do you still have the racks today? How do I build one like yours? Is there some special instructions during assembly?
 
Engineering companies and cabinet makers can build stands. A lot of mechanics and panel beaters have welding gear and some make things in their spare time. Your parents might even have a friend that has welding gear and can make you something. The engineering group will use steel, cabinet makers use wood. You can also go to TAFE after you finish school and do a cabinet making or carpentry course and then build your own out of wood. Or do a welding course and build one from steel.

If worse comes to worst, go to Bunnings (hardware stores) and look at their metal shelving. See links below. These are examples, most are too big for what you want but you can get smaller versions of them. The last link has slotted angle iron and you buy that in various lengths and use nuts and bolts to make a frame, then put some plyboard over the shelf and a piece of polystyrene foam, then the tank.

Ah! Yes, I will do that. I used to do woodwork at school before Year 11. Woodwork was hard though.
