Is this platy fin nipped or fin rot?

It's the red orange one with a black tail. I picked it up Saturday along with 7 others at Petco. I think it's just nibbles from being in the over crowded tank at Petco but I figured I'd better check with y'all.
I set the tank up on September 10th and it's a botanical method 55 gallon with sand substrate, wood, Anubis, water weed, pothos, and some bamboo.
There are 7 platies (8 until I found one dead today) several ghost shrimp and lots of baby golden mystery snails.
The water parameters are Ammonia 0, Nitrite 0, Nitrate 2, PH 7.4, KH 7°, GH 12°,

Hard to tell from these photos whether it's just damaged or fin rot. But sometimes mollies can also nibble at other fishes's fins. I saw one black molly in there.

That's a molly? Darn Petco. I didn't want any Molly's. They were all from the assorted platy tank.
 
The red wagtail platy (red one with damaged tail) is covered in excess mucous. If the water quality is ok, then it's something else bad in the water or an external protozoan infection like Costia, Chilodonella or Trichodina.

Are you adding plant fertiliser
If yes, how often and how much do you add
Do you do a big water change before adding more fertiliser

Oh wow how can you tell? I didn't think the picture was clear enough to tell much.

I'm using thrive all in one. And I think since I last did massive water changes I have done two 30 gallon doses and it holds around 50 gallons of water.
 
I did water changes about 2 weeks ago and I over the course of several days changed 45 gallons. That was right after cycling the tank before I put fish in it. I normally do water changes weekly but it's so lightly stocked that the nitrate hasn't been rising noticeably so I waited an extra couple weeks.
 
To me the photos are not clear enough to say something radical. Maybe a more better photo from the side may give some more insight. For even a fin that is damaged can look somewhat translucent on the damaged spot..

I'll keep trying to get better pictures or maybe video. The water's dark and I have not received the light I ordered for the tank yet so that makes it extra hard to get pictures.

Could you have too much tannins in there? For the color looks like there's too much tannins.
Looking at your water parameters, those look okay. The pH is more in the neutral zone (7.4). Which would still be okay for platies in general. GH is also good (12°).

I am not sure. I can reduce it with a water change tomorrow though.

The picture in post 2, the red fish has a creamy white film over its head and body. This is excess mucous produced by the fish to help protect it from something in the water that is irritating it.

Is the Thrive all in one fertiliser for aquariums or gardens
