There been this weird web-like string appearing in my fish tank...any ideas?

sounds like it's a type of hair algae... with the same type of controls... light intensity & hours

... remembering that thread ( sorry, no pun intended ) of the picture of that huge fishing spider...

I have a lot of floating plants and i don't have timer but i usually turn it on at 9am or 10am and off at 10pm or 11pm

If it’s string algae which would have multiple strings, I fixed mine by reducing the brightness and dosing with hydrogen peroxide about 5ml to a 100l tank every second day for 3 doses.gone!!
