Hello. If you bought them at your local fish store, then chances are very good that your female is pregnant. The males and females are kept together at the store for this reason. You never need to buy male Guppies at the store. They're typically more expensive anyway. Just buy a few females and when they drop their fry, you'll have your male fish too. Keep the tank water really clean and put in some floating plants. Start feeding a little more, so the adults aren't likely to see the fry as lunch. When the fry are born, they'll move to the surface for air and they'll need some hiding places from the adult fish.

10 Tanks (Now 11)

If there is a male in the tank, they are pregnant! Lovely looking females btw, all the best with it.

Thx for the tips. I currently have two males in the tank. Strangely enough the ladys have not had any babies in the past few months. I and I don't know why. I have one other female who has not had any either. I have had the orange and yellow tailed guppy for about 5 months as well as a Male. I got the orange tailed guppy about 2 months ago with another male. In case the Male just wasn't doing his job.

deworm them. see section 3 of the following link
