New home for my Loach

I have a Sucking Loach (Chinese algy eater) in a 58 litre community tank, I bought Ken (The Loach) without doing proper research, I'm a Fish novice really, only doing it 8 months, he has been good as gold, but, he is getting big 5.5" I'm worried he may start attacking the other guys. What is the smallest tank I could keep him in should I take him out? I don't want to get rid of him if I can help it, but don't have a lot of space. Can anyone advise me, the current tank has Hariquins, Black tetra and Nirite Snails.

You have a problem. If this is the species Gyrinocheilus aymonieri it will usually attain 6 to 8 inches (15 - 20 cm) in an aquarium, but it can get to 12 inches (30 cm). It needs a tank with a length of minimum 4 feet (120 cm).

Second problem, as it matures it can get feisty indeed, to the point of killing other fish. It is documented to eat the slime coat of fish. So you need to keep this fish alone to be safe. It is not even remotely good as an algae eater. This is a fish that should not be in the hobby.

Personally, I would re-home it if you can find someone who will take it, including the store (for free). Keeping any fish in an environment that is not providing what that fish requires/expects is not something we recommend.
