It looks more like a fungus to me. Ich tends to be all over the body not just the mouth.

I've got some protozin which treats both so depending what others think I will probably do a large scale water change and start treatment tomorrow.

I have held off with the treatment as the fish in question appears to be getting better.
A lot less white stuff on it.
Gonna be doing a continual water change and I'll monitor the fish to see if it gets better on its own.

excess mucous caused by something in the water irritating the fish.
best treatment is big daily water changes and gravel cleaning the substrate, do this for a week.
make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
