I've copied this from the pinned section of the tropical chit chat forum for you:

*The lutino and albino morphs of the "Black Skirt Tetra" (Gymnocorymbus ternetzi) are injected with dyes and fed dye laced foods as fry to produce blue skirt tetras, red skirt tetras, purple skirt tetras, blueberry tetras, grape tetras, strawberry tetras, patriot tetras, Halloween tetras, and mixed fruit tetras.

These are one of the dyed fish that people talk about - the fish wholesalers dye them to make them more colourful in order to sell more but dying them can really screw the fish up and make them more prone to disease - I've not read up on it too much but most people here would recommend that you don't buy anymore as it's quite inhumane what happens to them.

Hope this helps.

it's most likely a albino tetra, than has been turned into a bluberry tetra. It's a nice pic tho!!!!! :D :D

Digital cameras are wondrefull, I took about 30 pictures before I got one that was good. The little fish seem to be camera shy and would always move when the camera came out, but once it was put away they returned back to normal slow swimming..

They are injected with dyes and few dye laced food?

I can understand the food bit, but I can't see how the heck they could inject the little fish with out causing damage ot them.

Are these people micro surgeons?
