Yah. Definitely a quirky looking fish. I'd keep a saltwater tank to keep that thing...It was so funky. I loved it a lot
Name it "disabled nemo" or something like that

I can't say that the socalled balloon pearl gourami is appealing to look at...Some neon black skirt tetras, blue rainbow fish, red headed angels, goldfish that stole my heart, and a disturbingly deformed “balloon” form of gourami that ive never ever seen before but they had a lot of them
It’s really not…. Like. It looks like a horribly deformed fish, not like something you would want to breed at all. I imagine their health issues are massive…. I was shocked to say the least.I can't say that the socalled balloon pearl gourami is appealing to look at...
Well, it says that it's a balloon pearl gourami on the glass. So, I assume it's bred this way. In that case, it should be forbidden to breed such specimens. It's not doing the fish any good. It’s really not…. Like. It looks like a horribly deformed fish, not like something you would want to breed at all. I imagine their health issues are massive…. They actually thought those were newts and not axolotls? So my LFS was insisting that those were not, in fact, baby axolotl, but a type of newt, and that their fins would eventually vanish.
But. Idk man. They look a freakish amount like axolotls.
It is amazing what some outfits will sell as something else. A lot of it is ignorance but some of it may be greed as they may be able to charge more for the false name. They actually thought those were newts and not axolotls?
Wow...
