Today I was doing some work on my 5 gallon tank and I noticed that this one java fern has a root growing out of it's leaf.
I have read that java fern undergo a proccess that is call apomixis where they create a clone of themselves. I also read that the new baby plant grows out of the leaf of the "mother" plant. I have been very intrigued by this, so I am hoping that this is what it is.
This is the start of apomixis, correct? Don't worry the rhizome stays above the substrate*
