Hello! I have some two year out of date medication and water dechlorinator hanging around, how do I dispose of it safely?
Thanks!

How is your rubbish disposed of - incinerator or landfill? If it's incinerated I think it's ok to put them in the rubbish, with caps tight on the bottles so they don't leak in transit. But I wouldn't put them in the bin if the rubbish goes into landfill.
I wouldn't pour them down the drain either as they'll end up in a river or sea.
Dechlorinator should be OK poured on a bare patch of earth in the garden, but the meds depend on exactly what they are.

Ok, I have no idea how they dispose of it. I'll find out.
The medication is this:

Your council website may say how they dispose of rubbish. Ours says "converted to electricity at the Energy from Waste site at.....". In other words, it's incinerated.

Mine says
Once collected, refuse is sent to the Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility...
Which means incineration! So I will throw it away. Thank you!
