What other fish are in the tank, and in what numbers?....I see a few harlequin rasboras, if I'm not mistaken

Yes, that would be good to know.

And what are the fish in the bottom left? Are those the mollies?

Thank you 😊

I have three platys
3 young female guppies
2 harlequin rasboras
two little shrimps
3 dwarf corys
Lots of platy fry that I’m getting ready to take out— they all survived and are starting to get their color
And……ramshorm snails who are starting to get a bit out of control
Java moss that’s doing spectacular

Awesome!
I will recommend that once you set up the 40g, to get more of the corydoras (same species of course) and to get more of the same rasboras. Their schooling/shoaling fish and do best in groups of 6+ (10 or more is always best though).
If they are kept in small groups or duos they can become very stressed.

Otherwise I see no issues with compatibility besides maybe the fact that mollies come from harder waters (but it should still be fine because they don't come from really hard waters).

That's java moss?? WOW! Looks incredible!

I don’t currently have mollies— the platys are a beautiful blue color. I thought of keeping mollies though in the bigger tank.

I’ve actually had to pull some of the Java moss because it was beginning to take over the tank!

Yes, for the rasboras— I did have a few more when I started the tank — I cycled everything first with fish but in the beginning I lost some. Planning on getting more.

What should I do with the ramshorns?

Thank you so much!

Oh oops... I meant platys. I get the two mixed up sometimes lol.

So I take it the java miss grows really fast. Do you use any sort of fertilizer or does it just grow? What's the PH of your tank?

Ah, yah, a fish-in cycle will kill off some of the fish.
They will be really happy once some buddies are added!

Leave them, feed less food and they will naturally die off and start reproducing slower.
That's what I do. Although I tend to like my snails so I do feed them as well so I can still have them in there. But I just don't feed them a TON and the numbers stay steady

No fertilizer for Java moss—
PH is 7.4

I do like the snails! Eggs must’ve come in from the Java moss— at first I noticed two and then eggs on the side of the tank— wow, they reproduce quickly!

Yah. I put some floaters in my tank (the floaters died off for some reason :()
And there were a few baby snails. A week later there were a ton 🤣
