Cory with wound and fuzzy growth, worms in tank

Thank you for that information, I really appreciate it. The reason I purchased the Maracyn Oxy is because it mentioned that it treats that type of infection. But I'm new to this brand/medication so any additional information about it would be welcome.

I'll look into methods of increasing my GH to help my platies out, thank you for mentioning that!

I should mention that the goal is also to get Frank with more of his friends again. He started off in a small school but was the only survivor after an issue in an old tank. However, I'm also worried that the new tank may become overstocked if I add more fish

But increasing the hardness would be bad for the cories and tetra. Hard and soft water fish are not really compatible in the same tank.
