Hi everyone!

I've recently bought my new fish from the pet store. I'm new to this hobby so I don't know too much about infections and diseases. Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are at healthy levels. Raised temperature to 26C (80F) following advice on other forums. Betta is glass surfing but only when someone is in the room, he might just be curious and returns to swimming normally otherwise. Doesn't appear to be flashing frequently.

Does anyone know what these white growths are? Any advise is greatly appreciated!

I'm guessing there's not too much that can be done if that's the case

Correct. If that's the case just keep him comfortable and monitor how the tumor affects him. If it starts impeding his ability to swim or eat I would then suggest euthanizing. However, it could take months or years for that to happen.

Are there any other fish in the tank? It looks a bit like a war wound to me

Not to contradict you but open wounds show pink flesh underneath. If it was a war wound then there would be exposed flesh or possibly ripped fins too. This looks to me like more of a bump not a wound.

Yeah guess I'll have to wait and see, he seems to be behaving normally, eating well etc. I'll keep an eye on him.
