Hello!

I have what I assume are a form of pest snail eggs. They are appearing all over my tank, about 5 a day, and always overnight.

Theres a growing population of pest snails which I suspect started from some plants a month or so ago. I have two assassin snails but they are overly showing any interest in them so far.

Could someone confirm these are indeed pest snail eggs? They are hard and cannot be removed (except with a glass scraper - on the ones that go on the glass).

There are 3 nerite snails in the tank but I understand they don’t mate in freshwater.

Those are neritina snail eggs, they wont hatch in your fishtank, but they will stay on the decoration unless vigorously scrubbed. You either get used to them, or you spend time cleaning them

Agree with the above, nerite eggs

Nerites do lay eggs in fresh water but they don't hatch which is why you'll read that they can't breed in fresh water. If you have a male and a female of the same species, you will get eggs.

It's easy enough to scrape the eggs off hard surfaces but not things like wood.

Ah bummer! Guess I’ll just have to clean the glass ones… they are on my heater, filter, plants, gravel… theres no end to them.
