Hello, I made a post about this problem of a white spot on my betta's head on Jan 1st this year. Since then the spot has turned into a form of growth. I have read up on bettas of this species being more prone to getting tumours. However, the white growth on my betta has a different look to it than others I have seen on forums

On the most recent pictures, you can make out a clear section of the growth (bottom) that seems to be full of liquid. (Sorry for the image quality)
Also when my betta swims up against the glass it does not keep its shape but flattens which suggests it may have a liquid inside. The other issue is that it is growing closer to the eye every day. From what I have seen I'm more certain of it being an abscess rather than a tumour. Any advice would be helpful thanks.

Also I forgot to mention Salt treatment was done on two separate occasions

I have seen similar issue on this site and others with no resolution. I had a female betta that I even examined under a microscope to see if I could find the cause of the issue, it too seemed to be fluid filled and would sometimes nearly disappear. I wish you the best of luck but in the end I ended up euthanizing my betta when the growth got too large and the betta started having issues eating. The betta was in a tank with other fish, none of the other fish developed the issue.

The colour would suggest a tumour but they don't normally flatten out. That would suggest a cyst but they are normally round and semi transparent.

You can try tying a piece of string around the base of the growth. Do it up pretty tight. The fish won't like it but the string can stop blood flowing to the growth and sometimes they can fall off after the blood supply is stopped.

The only other option is surgery and most fish don't survive that.

If you don't want to do either, then wait until the fish has trouble swimming, or can't see properly, or stops eating, then euthanise it.

Im wondering if it is possible to have a tumour and a cyst together? It is a very weird shaped growth.

It's unlikely to be a tumour and cyst together. More likely is a soft tumour.
