Hi All,

I came down to feed this morning only to find one of my Angels hiding at the back of the aquarium whilst others fed as usual. On closer inspection it looks like a large blemish has formed on its side, along with the same on one of the others.

I have attached photos. If anyone has experience of this, advice would be greatly appreciated.

There was a similar report but much worse earlier, unfortunately with no resolution. On the other post the angels had a number of circular holes in their side that went down to the flesh level, in your case they do not seem as deep. What other fish do you have in the aquarium with the angels.

See https://www.fishforums.net/threads/who-is-mauling-my-angelfish-or-is-it-a-disease.480359/ it at least looks superficially similar to your issue.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately one of them perished yesterday but the other looks spritely, so fingers crossed.

The tank is shared with three other angels, cardinal tetras, pearl gouramis, rummy nose tetras and a single, remaining, red line torpedo barb (very placid).

I have put some Myxazin into the tank just in case it’s a disease I can’t identify.

Let see what happens in the coming days.

Doesn't seem like the same issue as the thread I have posted. I wish you the best of luck. I have little experience with fish diseases, other than ick, so I am not the best person for help on this issue.
