Yes I collected all the peterfied and drift wood myself in north dakota!Did you collect the "wood" yourself. I have a piece of opalized petrified wood in my tank, along with some nice yellow jasper and banded obsidian. Looks like you have some nice pieces.
The peterfied wood in north dakota is like no other! Use to be a glacier so all the wood turned into stone! I'm actually going this Saturday for 2 weeks and I'll be collecting alot more to bring back for my 90 gallon I'm setting up!I really like to collect materials for the aquariums. It adds a whole new aspect to the hobby. I have only been to North Dakota once after a caving trip in South Dakota. If I knew you could find interesting rocks there I would have stayed of couple of days.

Well I started off with no snails at all and this is all just from a couple plants that must of had eggs or babies on there.. I take 100s out a month just to keep control! They are a great cleanup crew for my sand I must say! I don't mind them a bit just when they get overcrowded they look a bit messy is my only complaint!Nice hardscape! very cool looking. I've never seen trumpet snails that color before. Mine are just boring brown.
Ah was gonna say if you was close to Michigan USA I could possibly send you some! But that would cost an arm and a leg that far for the weight!Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Though I used to go on hiking trips into the American South West yearly.
Damn. I appreciate the thought. My wife and I have a pretty big rock collection, we don't do anything with them, but they are fun to find and collect.Ah was gonna say if you was close to Michigan USA I could possibly send you some! But that would cost an arm and a leg that far for the weight!
