After an issue with my betta being fin nipped I decided it was best he was to get his own tank. I found a small 30Litre tank on Amazon for like £40, and luckily had some spare substrate, sand and driftwood, and gathered some Christmas moss and a variety of anubias from the main tank to create his own little space!
I even made a wee waterfall that trickles down the exposed moss covered wood.
Added some peace lily and pothos to grow out the top and I was done!
At the moment there’s a small hang on back filter I had but I honestly think it’s defective as it’s barely moving the water.
I’m partly thinking because it’ll only be the betta, and potentially a couple shrimp/snail in here that I could do without the filter altogether and just do weekly changes. The small pump for the waterfall does give some water movement but obviously isn’t taking in any debris/muck.
But I’ll take advice from you guys on whether that would work.
I hope you like this look of this little scape!
