I'm currently using NeoPlex to treat fin rot and a fungal infection in my 10 gallon tank. Yesterday I started using NeoPlex and today I noticed some weird white string hanging off of some of their fins and bodies. I'm worried about it.

I took out the carbon filter since it would
mess up the NeoPlex from working and there's a bunch of particles floating in the water. I'm wondering if this is just a side effect of the NeoPlex or if it's something I should be worried about. Any help would be very appreciated!

Here's some pictures.

Hate to ask this of you, but can you give more pictures? I can't see the white strings in those pictures good enough... What is the tank parameters?

Parameters (tested yesterday)
7 pH
0 ppm nitrates
0 ppm nitrites
0 ppm ammonia

Sometimes after a bit of swimming they strings will fall off which I find weird.

Hope these pictures are better. I circled around where the strings are.

It's excess mucous caused by something in the water irritating the fish. It can be caused by poor water quality (ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH) or medications, plant fertiliser, etc.

Do a 75% water change and gravel clean the substrate every day for a week.
Make sure any new water is free of chlorine/ chloramine before it's added to the tank.
