Hello,
So I have 2 rosy barbs, male and female, that I plan to breed soon so the female can release eggs. They both had been acting strange recently and I started to notice this about an hour ago.
Problems:

Male- has a hump on the head that wasn't there a few hours ago. Maybe a fast growing tumor.

Female- Am not sure if she is filled with eggs but is occasionally flicking herself upon leaves.

Please help!!!

What size tank are they in? What other fish are in the tank? Is the tank cycled?

What are your readings for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte, using a liquid test kit?

Don't understand your answer on the cycling (?)

Am not using a liquid test kit but will eventually get one. My test kit doesn't test for ammonia but:
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Chlorine is 0
I set the tank up about 5 years ago and I probably didn't cycle because I didn't know cycling existed.

Could it be dropsy? I know pineconing scales is a sign of it. I'm not sure if it has eggs but I wouldnt count on it.

Get an API Freshwater Master Test kit ASAP...water params are the first issue we want to address any time there's a problem with fish

What water conditioner do you use? How often do you perform WC's?

Get the test kit, and post your results for ammonia, nitrIte, and nitrAte here

I've no experience with that conditioner....the best ones to use are API Tap Water Conditioner, or Seachem Prime

The scales are only pineconing in the area of the bump. In dropsy, I think they pinecone everywhere.

Is there a possibility that this is a tumor?
Ok, so most likely not dropsy. For a second I thought it was on the fish's belly
