As well as having snails and fish, I also have budgies! My male is Apollo and my female is Venera. And they are wild(no from the wild though)! Never to be tame...

Yes, thanks. Venera is a lutino budgie and Apollo is a cobalt blue budgie with (I think) yellow face type 2 factor. Both have mutations, both always argue...:hatchetchase:
The reason why you cannot have white face green budgies is because green budgies are yellow based and their genes are dominant. A blue budgie is white based recessive and their genes remove yellow pigmentation. A white face green budgie is not possible because in order for white base, you will have to remove yellow pigmentation and that lack of yellow makes blue feathers. Green needs yellow.
But yes, yellow face blue budgies are possible...

They are so cute! I have two budgies as well!
Consider changing out the dowel perches for wood ones, it tends to give them very sore feet and they much prefer being able to chew the bark off natural ones :)
Without perch variety it can cause bumblefoot and pressure points. I live in Australia and use native trees as their perches but there are plenty of bird safe trees if you don't want to buy them.
In the meantime you can grab a pocket knife and carve out different textures in the dowel temporarily (just make sure it doesn't splinter!)
