Don't you just love trying to photograph semi transparent fish :)
Not as much as I love
cropping their semi-transparent
tinyness-es...😂...
You can tell some of the gudgeons that are really pale are from a longer time ago; the more current ones are more exciting because they got their tail spots!!!
In the third from the last image you can see the relative sizes between the two species.
There are Blue-eyes fry very tiny in the tank, too. They are about a month behind the first few.
They come in twos!
Gudgeons come in like a swarm of bees. I think I have about 30 still going strong. Probably a low-ball estimate.
7 Blues...
Sweet! How long are they? How big will they get?
I don't know, but the gudgeons are about 9-10 weeks old. The Blues are spread out more over the past 8 weeks.
As you may see, the blues grow faster.
I was told to warm up the water to increase the metabolism for the Gudgeons...but I don't want to mess with the program...
I think they must be ready for a growth spurt...2 months is an awfully long time to hold such tiny-ish-ness....
They have been feeding for 2 days now with great gusto on frozen daphnia.
Waiting for results 🤩

They represent the best part of fish keeping, well done love them.
Thanks, they did it well...I just loved them 🥰
