First time poster! TIA!

Hi guys, I just got two female guppies in my cycled 20 gallon tank with only a mystery snail. I’ve never had a pregnant guppy so I’d like some advice/input. I thought she was in labor last night but she was just pooping up a storm… still pooping this morning. She’s very active and was gliding up and down the glass last night but is now just chasing the other guppy and I feel bad. It is heavily planted but she still finds her and chases her into the plants. I bought a birthing tank but i’m not sure if she’s even close yet and don’t want to give her added stress. She also spends time pecking for food at the bottom even though I recently fed them both. Any thoughts? Is pooping a lot normal for a pregnant guppy? Thank you!

If she is pregnant, than she's not even close to birth...
Also non-pregnant females show a gravid spot.

You'll know when she's pregnant because she'll look like she's swallowed a whole pea! And yes, guppies poop loads especially if you overfeed...most fish graze and look for stuff to eat so her pecking around is completely normal 😊

I bought a birthing tank
Do you mean one of those tiny boxes which float in the tank? If that is what you mean, please don't use it as they stress the female, being in such a tiny space. It is better to leave her to give birth in the main tank, that catch the fry and put them in the box.
