How much does an empty tank weigh

I'm looking at getting a 4 foot tank and found a great second hand deal at a price my wife cant argue with but its at the other end of the country. I've found an online courier that could do it but asking the weight to calculate the cost and I have no clue how to work it out?

Its a 4 foot 300 litre tank made from 12mm glass - does anyone know how to work it out or does anyone have an educated guess?

It’s not a 4x2x2

I think it’s just a 55g show tank. I would expect something around 170#. I just bought a 4’x2’x18” tank, and it has very thick glass - I think it either exceeds .5 an inch, or is just barely under it. It took 3 people to lift It.

It's gonna weigh heaps. I had a 4x2x2ft tank made from 10mm thick glass and we needed 2 strong people to lift it. My tank weighed over 50kg empty so a 12mm thick tank will weigh more.

Probable weight is more than 50kg, less than 100kg. Maybe 70-80kg empty.

That site as a 4x2x2 tank with 12mm glass at 89kg and 10mm at 74kg

My tanks 151cmx51cmx66cm with 10mm glass at 86kg (juwel say 85kg so the site calculator seems pretty good)

Thanks everyone this is great I had slowed 80kg for the tank but that would be plus the stand which I would guess would be the same. It was £80 for the tank alone and in a few cases I’ve had my eye on it makes sense. Maybe allow £200 for it all and see if the deal comes up to go for it.
