My platy is acting so strange help please

My male platy fish has been acting so weird lately he’s been in the tank for about two months he’s got 4 females to chase around and I also keep 4 guppy females and a pleco in the tank and I change out male guppies periodically and yesterday I noticed he was just swimming in place almost like he’s sleeping. So I checked all my water parameters my ammonia is at about 0.2 ppm nitrite is 0 the nitrate was about 8 ppm ph was about 7.6 he’s not that interested in feedings and hasn’t been himself I did change out the male a few days ago but I haven’t noticed any fights or added pressure to him

What does the fish's poop look like?
If the fish has stopped eating and does stringy white poop, it has an internal infection and will probably die.

The fish could also be stressed from moving the other male.

His poop looks normal and he’s starting to swim around a little more now he’s still kind of shy and swims just fine when he chooses to he is starting to get old as well (almost 2) but this is out of his ordinary
