I just got 2 honey gourami

The red honey gouramis sold in shops near me are mislabelled thick lipped gouramis rather than mislabelled dwarf gouramis. Those in the photos in post#1 don't have the turquoise blue dorsal fins typical of red dwarf gouramis.
To me they're not.
OP could you place sonemore pics.

Alright I got floating plants what else should I get?
I would say with honey gourami’s (I guess in this case, till we all decide what kind of gourami this one is 🤔) most any plant that provides them some cover would do. I have frogbit, Java moss, cyprenus helferi (a thin blade, longer grass, looks like a thin jungle valinarus), and rotala rotundifollia as the bulk of my plants with 3 honey gourami. They cruise around the whole tank if they feel comfortable, and the more coverage you have the more comfortable they feel.
So what I’m saying is, get whatever plants you like, they will all help out.

I've discovered that, at Pets at Home, the names of the fish are dictated by On High, but...
They are also obliged to know the scientific name of the fish they sell.
This could be one way of confirming the Gourami species you buy there.

It’s certainly not a Dwarf. I’m leaning 95%+ towards T. labiosa
