My trio of Goldbreast (AKA Trout) Goodieds have finally given me a batch of fry! I hadn't checked the tank in a couple of days, so they might be a few days old already. They are born pretty large, and I am super excited.
It's a common thing that the fry of goodeids are large in comparison to the mother's body. In comparison to ovoviviparous livebearers, goodeids give less fry in one batch, because of the size of the fry. These are viviparous livebearers (so, real livebearers).
If you would've watched them when they were born, you'd be able to see their trophotaeniae hanging on their belly.
